Immigration of Horlbecks to the United States

In the past many Horlbecks emigrated from Germany to the U.S. in hopes of a new and better life.

The first were two brothers from the Vogtland. They settled in Charleston / South Carolina about 1764. They worked as architects and some of their old buildings still exist today. Their descendants purchased the Boone Hall Plantation along with its many helpers.

Later a second wave of immigration started at the end of 19th century and finished about 1930.

Here can you find the passenger lists of immigrated relatives of my grandfather Hermann Horlbeck.
